I found pheasant feathers alongside the road. The buds are opening and the fresh green leaves emerge after a frigid winter. Yet there is a roaring wind outside my window- a high pitched whistling. Now and then the sun peers through the clouds. I can see birds from my window, they sit on the fragile branches of a still leafless tree.

There are such lovely flowers growing everywhere! Saturday I painted yellow crocuses (Crocus flavus). They turned out alright I think. At the moment I am reading ''Sense and Sensibility'' and spending a lot of time in little cafés to study. Today clouds filled with rain drift past my window. The rain will bring growth.

Small snowdrop in January, February, March
Today the sun shines on your little head
You grow next to the roadside with your blossom so proud and large
and your stem is strong but as thin as a thread
Your head hangs down yet your beauty is great
night time will come soon, it's getting late
Now you close your flower and sleep softly

At the moment it is raining and the sky is very dark. I managed to paint a tiny fairytale painting even though I have little time to paint at the moment. I love seeing all the snowdrops bloom and two weeks ago I even had some time to go for a walk.
